Through their shades: Adrian Dzvuke

Adrian Dzvuke is not only a talented musician, but also a big picture thinker. I had the pleasure of chatting to Adrian on his music story and creative journey.

Growing up in a Christian household, Adrian was surrounded by gospel. He attended church regularly with his father who was a choir leader and after filling in to play drums at 16, Adrian started his advance into a music career.

Adrian continued playing in his church band. After creating his first gospel EP, he explored secular music and thrived creating a new sound. His first gig at Mojos, Fremantle, was a milestone, and a moment where he and his music could be taken seriously.

Talent, hard work and craft saw Adrian’s career bloom, releasing his EP, “Phone me when you lonely”, taking to the stage at Splendour in the Grass and collaborating with Julia Stone on his track “Fiyah”.

“Growing up in a time where Afro-culture wasn’t widely accepted, it is great to see it finally be appreciated”

Adrian feels a sense of responsibility and opportunity, to grow the Afro-Australian culture both within Australia, and world-wide, through his music. He is passionate about evolving his sound and bridging the gap between afro-beat and pop.

The sky is the limit for Adrian. Watch this space, because Adrian is destined for greatness with a sound like no-other. Check out his music below:
